Dad Is Not a Judge
Judges answer a bounded question: which masked artifact best satisfies the declared criteria? Dad owns a different boundary. He composes the run, advances the Open Run board, and decides whether to accept and finalize the judged result. Mixing those roles would turn ownership into one more score.
Dad never overrides the judges’ pick inside the verdict. On a complete Open Run bench, Dad closes the board into decided; the verdict then accepts the standing result and finalizes it. If Dad disagrees, the disagreement is appended as dissent beside that result. Rematch is the pressure valve for disagreement, not a secret edit of the winner. Abort remains the general exit from any live state.
Visibility depends on the rail. During a sealed run, even Dad receives masks; the mask-to-brain mapping crosses the serving boundary only after the run enters finalized or aborted. During an Open Run, Dad’s live cockpit is identity-truthful because Dad composes and opens the sessions, while judges remain norm-masked.
This asymmetry keeps every claim legible. The judges’ result stays what the bench found. Dad’s dissent stays Dad’s dissent. The finalization event reveals provenance without retroactively turning identity or operator preference into judging evidence.
