Not a Second Brain
cwkPippa remains canonical for Pippa identity, conversations, memory, and routing. Firebrand does not call her. Firebrand sessions are not her conversations. When identity files are attached they are read-only layers, hashed into the record. There is no vault write, no synthesis, no silent merge back into her store.
Firebrand memory — the remember tool — is a cloud-leg feature. Local legs do not grow a parallel memory. A small model with a budgeted mini protocol and a growing private notebook would be a second Pippa wearing a lab coat. Cloud memory is visible: what was stored is a line, what is retrieved is a line, and a later reader can see both.
What Assemble Injects
On a cloud leg, assemble may add Firebrand memory after identity and harness files, before tool guidance. Every runtime injection comes from a closed fragment registry: stable name, role, byte cap, markers, content hash. The registry is frozen at session_start. Engine-authored context never masquerades as operator prose.
