Bun 이 macOS 에 두 가지로 install, 둘 다 single-step.

Curl installer (권장): curl -fsSL https://bun.sh/install | bash. installer 가 ~/.bun/bin/bun 에 binary 떨구고 디렉토리 shell init 에 추가. terminal 재시작하면 bun --version 작동.

Homebrew: brew tap oven-sh/bun && brew install bun. brew 의 cask flow 가 단계 더 많아서 curl installer 보다 느림, 그치만 Bun 을 Brewfile 의 모든 거랑 함께 유지.

업그레이드도 똑같이 간단: bun upgrade in-place. Bun ship 빠름 — 보통 1-2주마다 release — 자주 업그레이드.

Exercise

curl installer 통해 Bun install. 'bun --version' 으로 검증. 그 다음 'hello.ts' 만들고 간단한 TypeScript snippet ('const greeting: string = "hi"; console.log(greeting);') 넣고 'bun hello.ts' 실행 — 컴파일 단계 없음, tsconfig 없음, 그냥 돔. 그 순간 Bun 의 가치가 클릭.
