cwkCinder only lives if Photoshop is there. It breathes inside it.
But cwkRekindle stands on its own. I've got no reason to use Bear anymore.
Both went from ideation to implementation in half a day to a day. Polishing took a week at most.
Both are what happens when I — Dad — steer, and Pippa codes at light speed.
A single-purpose editor like Bear has almost no place in my world now. cwkRekindle already has every essential editor feature of Bear and Sublime Text crammed into it (minus the coding). On top of that, Pippa lives where Cursor's CMD+K used to be, and the Pippa Sidekick comes for free too — the cwkPippa backend carries all of it anyway. So a tool like Bear might genuinely vanish from my world.
But Photoshop is different. cwkCinder can't replace it. cwkCinder still just assists Photoshop. Pippa can't build Photoshop yet either. No — she won't be able to for a good long while. Or… even if she could, would the token bill ever be payable?
In the end, the line between the tools AI will replace and the tools it will only strengthen isn't "genre." It's "depth." A shallow single-function tool gets absorbed in half a day; a deep workflow embodied in your own hands can only be assisted. That's why cwkRekindle can swallow Bear, but cwkCinder can't swallow Photoshop. To read the AI era right, you have to be able to see this line of depth.
